Staying focused, learning to listen, reading a script for character development—all this and more will be explored and taught through some scene study, improv and monologues. Wednesdays: 6:30pm–9:30pm THIS CLASS IS FULL
Students are always encouraged to repeat this course. It keeps you sharp and it keeps you honest. It is a class designed to hone the skills that are necessary for work in any medium. This is a class for the serious actor which is meant to enhance character development and performance through the application of new techniques as well as those already learned. Working through problems of performance with constructive critique and discipline in order to achieve the best performance possible is what we aim for as we work with our actors on scenes. This class is kept small to allow the most time possible for each and every student. Performance time is recognized as critical to growth. To that end, we work on a maximum of two scenes per student (preferably one comedic and one dramatic) for the eight week course.
